Musical Instrument Property Protection and Security
SNAGG's unique secure registry enables owners of musical instruments with SNAGG enabled microchip technology to enjoy theft deterrent protection, enhanced property recovery (should your musical instrument be lost or stolen), protection of provenance (necessary to prove authenticity when assets are sold or traded), and discounted musical instrument insurance rates.
Musical instruments and other valuable assets enabled with SNAGG protection gain a built-in deterrence against theft, loss, and fraudulent reproduction.
SNAGG provides its manufacturing and retail partners with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, called SNAGG Microchips. SNAGG's technology is flexible, and adaptable to many musical instrument and other valuable asset form factors - including antique and valuable artwork (e.g. furniture, treasured ecclesiastical items, high-end snowboards and skis, and so on.
When a customer purchases a SNAGG-enabled musical instrument or other asset, s/he registers the instrument at the SNAGG website for free - it's that simple.
Musical instrument and other asset owners without SNAGG protection may purchase a SNAGG retrofit kit that can be installed by a music instrument repair shop, instrument builder, or an antiques specialist. The SNAGG retrofit is a simple operation that will not alter the value, appearance, or quality of your musical instrument or valuable asset in any way - as the SNAGG Microchip is embedded inside your musical instrument or other valuable asset. A modest fee will be charged by your repair technician to install the SNAGG Microchip.
Owners of SNAGG-enabled instruments are able to access their musical assets on SNAGG's secure website. Changes to customer data in the SNAGG database may only be made by registered customers.
Law Enforcement officials are able to access a special section of the SNAGG website to recover details about reported stolen assets ONLY at the request of a registered SNAGG customer. No other access to the SNAGG database is permitted, under any circumstance.
The cooperation of Law Enforcement and related private property protection organizations is a key element in the SNAGG recovery system. SNAGG has enlisted the advice of the California State 2nd Hand Dealer Investigators Association (CSDIA); the National Association of Property Recovery Investigators (NAPRI); and, the FBI's Art Fraud Division in the design of its asset registry.
RFID Integration Services
SNAGG also provides RFID-based integration services for supply chain, logistics, inventory control, and/or materials handling systems for musical instrument and other valuable asset manufacturers.
